D&T Marine Services, LLC was formed in 2020 by owner Dan Mitchell, a U.S. Coast Guard retiree with over 30 years of service working as Engineer Afloat and Marine Inspector.  Dan is certified through the Towing Vessel Inspection Bureau.

Many years of experience and technical knowledge includes pre-subchapter "M" surveys, vessel inspections, damage surveys, dry docking, new construction, vessel maintenance and more.  Additionally, well-versed in the security plans, risk analysis, emergency response management, pollution prevention and compliance monitoring.
